Dear football,
Today, I want to share with you that this season will be my last as a professional footballer. After so many years living my dream, I feel it’s time to start a new chapter in my life.
Being honest, even though I have been preparing myself for this moment, I found it hard to write this letter. After 20 seasons , many people have played an important role in my career.
When I first kicked a ball as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined the amazing journey ahead. I’m grateful for every moment: the wins, the tough losses, the challenges, and most of all, the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made along the way.
To my teammates, coaches, and every staff member at all the clubs I’ve been lucky to be part of, thank you for helping me grow as a person and a player every day. Wearing the shirts of CA Osasuna, Olympique Marseille, Chelsea FC, Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, and representing my country at the biggest stages has been a true privilege. Every moment has meant so much to me…
🗣️ Ronaldinho: "They say I wasted my talent, that I could have been the best of all. But nobody knows how much I fought to keep my smile when life was hitting me off the field. I didn't play for statistics: I played to make people happy."
"My magic was never a trick, it was always freedom. And maybe that's what they didn't understand: I didn't come to fit into a mould, l came to break it. I'd rather have been happy for a while... than perfect my whole life."
So I went to this same AP filling station Maitama, this afternoon to buy fuel. One of the attendants recognized me and rushed over, asking for my number and said she wanted to send me 5k airtime. She said the tweet I made about their N10k monthly salary really helped them. Their salary was increased to N71k that same month and has remained stable since then.
Her smile melted my heart. I thanked her for the kind gesture and gave her more money than the 5k airtime she wanted to give me. She didn’t want to accept it, but I insisted.
I’m so happy to be able to make others happy. 💃💃💃
Things we do for love ❤️❤️
If this thing exploded and killed 200 people lunatics will blame the federal or state government.
Again, individuals must use their brain and take personal responsibility in Nigeria.
All it would take is one small spark and all these 200 or so people will be burnt beyond recognition. What are they thinking? Do they have a functioning brain 🧠?
PS: The most stupid folks here are the onlookers. The scoopers aim to get fuel for personal use or onward sale. What are the onlookers aiming to get? You want to die over nothing. SMH 🤦🏾♂️.
