@Owen0to1@denythebeast New Entrant Audit. I guess all new guys go through it. Bought truck and trailer February, tested in my setup for class A in March, and have to run IFTA. I’m in northern WV so I cross state lines into PA and MD for work making me have to do all that fun extra with my DOT numbers
@Owen0to1@denythebeast If it makes you feel any better, this is my first year of operations 🙃 giving me time to deal with a lovely DOT safety audit though. None of this was in the brochure of “Mulching Makes You Millions EZ”
@spinzone12@BlueCollarInvr 90% of the jobs I go to quote for my forestry mulching business, first thing the customer says “thanks for coming out to look at this. I’ve called X amount of other people and you’re the first to actually show up”. All you have to do with a service business is show up!
@StumpGuyTy When I’m told this for my forestry mulching company, I always encourage people to try to rent a machine and do it themselves 😂 99% of the time results in them calling a day later after finding out prices and all that goes into just getting one delivered and maintained for a day.
@JoshInEncinitas@Doug_Hnuts BJJ teaches too many great lessons, especially for kids. Great for the body physically, even better for the mind and soul. It’s hard to think about your daily problems when someone is trying to take your life with a choke or break your arm! My favorite escape from life.
@Owen0to1 Just got mine in hand a month ago. Ordered with the saddle bag tanks and top cooler. Cooler not so important, but man it’s nice not having to refuel on a full hard day of work. Would def recommend. They act as good counter weights as well. Cab is super comfy. Keep chewin trees 👊🏼
@bprintco That 5500 has to be a game changer. My 3500 is begging for mercy with the cat 275 hahaha. Had to personally finance everything to get started and the 4500/5500 kept showing to lenders as commercial. Rates went from 3.75% personally up to 11% when doing through the new business.
@bprintco Thanks brother. I know starting out not having dates was okay, but now that I have the machine in hand, it’s time to set dates and get to it. First trip out and she EATS! Thanks for the words of wisdom. (Shearex was delayed, but CAT gave a free loaner hm316 until it arrives)
@bprintco How do you recommend actually scheduling the work? I feel like I’ve been to soft and asking them what days work best for them. Should I just schedule and the day is what the day is? Trying to find a fine line of working with them, but also getting work knocked out.
@bprintco Alex, picking up my cat 275 today and getting going on a months worth of work I booked before even having the equipment.
One of my troubles starting out is figuring out how to actually schedule the jobs. I don’t let setting hard dates too early in advance due to weather.
