They can’t be sued because Utah doesn’t hold builders responsible for the ground they build on.
My sister lives in hurricane and fought a builder for years because they built her house on ground that became so loose it started sinking. She ended up losing about a 100k before eventually giving up.
And this house was on higher ground….
@j_divis I agree. The same thing when Jesus prayed in Gethsemane. If it is your will thy will be done….. uh what? If it was one person, what does that mean?
Only Satan wants people confused. The gospel is simple and clear.
Hey, it’s not uncommon for non members to ask for help. It’s worth a try.
If you are comfortable enough to message me your address I can search for the bishop for your ward boundaries. I can even send him a message through the church to give him a heads up if you want.
If you don’t feel comfortable I get it. But just let me know and I’ll do what I can. I can’t promise anything but I think it’s worth a try at least.
I have sent non members to bishops in the past and they have received help. But each situation is different.
But like I said I’m willing to help if you want.
We are supposed to question things when we don’t understand them. That’s how we learn.
That’s why I love the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was searching different churches trying to figure out the truth, they were the ones that told me to question things. It says it all in the Bible to ask god if we want to know.
I think people get worried when asked something they don’t have an answer for. And it’s ok to say you don’t know the answer.
They were Jews. Lived the law of Moses. Once Christ came, he fulfilled the law of Moses and taught the higher law.
Here are some of the examples-
“Eye for an eye” now becomes “turn the other cheek”
“Instead of building an altar for offering sacrifice of lamb” becomes “taking the sacrament “ because Christ was the lamb for everyone.
Then we have priesthood keys. Aaronic was the preparatory priesthood and then the Melchizedek priesthood. It is not that one is better than the other. It is an order.
It is all essential to god plan. Christ is what made it possible for everyone to have a chance for exaltation.
That’s a new one…. Did you make that up yourself?
No matter what lies you try to spread, You won’t stop the lords work. Evil men have been trying to since the beginning and nothing has worked. You are just wasting time when you could be using this time to get closer to the lord.
The term Mormon is just a slang term. kinda like the term Christian. Call us Mormon, LDS, or whatever. At the end of the day we as members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are “disciples of Christ”. You know, just like Jesus calls his followers. Christ never said “ my followers will be called Christian’s”because the term Christian is just a phrase that the world came up with so they can categorize people.
@The_King_Trout If someone walked up to you and said “I am Jesus Christ” and they had scars in their hands and feet. How would you know if it was really Jesus Christ or not? Serious question.
It would be terrible to get an RX.
If you compromise with evil, it will only bring more evil.
When you said you relapsed the other day it was sad to me. And I don’t even know you. I think a lot of people (including myself) like to hear when people post their success in getting sober. Addiction is so terrible, but you can get past it. It gets easier over time. But as it gets easier, don’t let yourself get prideful about it.
Every single day sober is a huge deal. Only addicts understand how big. I am sure you can do it. Don’t be hard on yourself of the past. Stand back up and start moving forward again.
Of all things not true, that is the most obvious thing not true.
If that were true, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints wouldn’t be dwarfing all other churches in growth in membership and service all over the world.
I hope your heart is softened one day and we can worship how we please without any contention. But just like Christ said, “ we will be hated by all for his names sake”
