And since most of the hosted mac minis uses screen sharing , it became a major critical issue.
And there are programs running 24*7 to check for such

true. it is you who has to mention things "clearly" - be it prompts, loops, tool metadata, etc.

You cannot compound peanuts. Passive income is what you build after you have maximized your active income. But this generation is trying to skip the active income phase entirely.

They are obsessing over squeezing a 15% CAGR out of a ₹40,000 salary instead of figuring out how to build a skill or a business that generates ₹4,00,000 a month.

You cannot passive income your way out of a low value skill set.

You cannot SIP your way to true wealth if your primary engine your active income is stagnant.

Stop trying to retire before you have even built anything.

Who is benefiting from using Instagram? IMO it is just a slop generating machine with the only aim of getting you to waste your time, exhaust yourself and feel worse about yourself, all while being shown ads.

I waste a lot of time on it too and I blame myself for being pulled in to use it so much. There is a stark difference between my ability to focus on things for longer when I compare my current self with the 4 years younger self.

My mentor at Rubrik was a super talented chinese principal engineer. One golden piece of advice he gave me was:

“Learn to build a strong opinion on things. No strong engineer you look upto just says yes to everything”

This has been a game changer.

Learn to reason and be vocal with your reasoning. Its okay to be wrong, you can always correct your understanding.

You are hired to reason out decisions and build great products, not to bootlick.

I do partially have second thoughts on my decision of buying home. I am 26 and its my first big purchase and its been more than 1.5 years of paying EMI. Its around 22% of my income. So its relatively manageable. But the good part is - the society is better than earlier home.

hmm - i do spend some time on planning it out and review the code claude writes. But yes it is melting my brain too. And somehow its "recommemded" option makes me lazy. My brain does not want to think anymore. Apart from that -

I'm 33 and I think Claude Code is melting my brain.

For 6 months straight I've had 5-6 terminals open at once, waiting on responses just to smash "enter" 90% of the time. That's the whole job now.

And it's doing something to me. A few friends and I keep circling back to the same thing in conversations: none of us feel as sharp as we used to.

Maybe it's just us. But I keep wondering how many other people in their 30s feel it too.

(And yeah: this is a me problem, how I lean on the tool, not the tool itself. Doesn't make the effect any less real.)
