His communication is exceptional. His feel for the game, second to none. At the risk of jinxing him, he’s never at the centre of big mistakes. I know Nigel Owens is everyone’s favourite but for me, Luke is the best ever.
One day, @WorldRugby is going to have to explain to us why @Luke_W_Pearce isn’t officiating every top game.
In a world where rugby officials are always criticised, he’s the one official that is praised widely on social media. His handling of the game last night was world class.
@BoknRoll I’d sign Pead for Stormers.
For me, Stravino is not even the best uncapped wing at the Bulls.
Best uncapped options for teams to consider imo:
Paul de Villiers
Sebastian de Klerk
Jurie Matthee
And I’m enjoying Vernon Matongo too.
If @SuperSportTV#ssrugby want to provide a premium viewing experience, they cannot give us big test rugby without @MattP555.
The voice of rugby is an absolute must for us fans. This hollow commentary nonsense from what sounds like a studio in Jhb is unacceptable.
If this past rugby weekend showed us anything, it’s that if the Springboks ever create their own Hall of Fame, then @MattP555 and Hugh Bladen should be in it. cc: @SuperSportTV
You don’t want to lambaste rugby officials on social media.
But when you watch a ref do what the ref in the @SVNSSeries semi final just did to ensure Aus make the final at home on Australia Day, it’s really hard.
Despicable.
@derekalberts1@danielgallan Spot on Derek.
In almost all other sports, the tv official is called in by on field officials or of their own accord. Why does cricket make it a captain’s call. Seems odd.
Let the officials officiate.
Extraordinary decision not to pick a spinner when over rate may be the single biggest threat to the Proteas not making the WTC final.
I’m not taking Pakistan for granted at all. But let’s at least not risk a slow overrate.

@danielgallan @BreadknifeThe @RugbyPass Sorry, but the fact that the publication has lost all credibility with its obvious clickbait attempts means that we don’t see the rest of any genuine attempts at journalism.
The despicable tabloid efforts means the good stuff will get lost.
@davidmajestic83 @lowLevelCo27122 Your own videos makes it so clear. Every angle shows he scores.
You know TMOs are checking in the background even if they’re not showing it during the game?
Move on.
@ChalynRugby I even know the basics of how a knock on works. Justin Marshall on commentary at the time also did. But shame, a bitter NZ supporter because they lost another World Cup. Shame.
I like to think of Gaffie du Toit, sitting in front of his TV, whispering, "Lekker, Rassie", and cheering Manie on this Saturday. If only all our coaches could have treated their players with the kind of respect Rassie gives them.
