In a preliminary analysis of Operation Sindoor, former National Security Adviser says the military did well, but lessons need to be learnt on strategic communication; Indian diplomatic eorts did not fail but China and Turkiye used the opportunity to consolidate their ties with Pakistan... Meet Lt Col Mohd Illiyas Khan of #IndianArmy, who made #Strike Drone: STRIKE is drone-based wireless detonation device comprising of #UnarmedAerialVehicle, transmitter, and Relay system. This is likely to minimize the risk to personnel by enabling teams to neutralize threats without direct physical proximity-Key advantages will
include increased safety for bomb disposal experts, reduced exposure to hazardous conditions, and ultimately improving mission success rates while safeguarding lives. @indiatvnews@adgpi
A gallant #IndianBrave lost in action a long time ago
#LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Captain Suman Dasgupta, Vir Chakra (P), 15 ASSAM, made the supreme sacrifice engaging the Pakistan Army in the icy heights of #SiachenGlacier, thwarting an intrusion #OnThisDay 06 June in 1998
During Operation Meghdoot in Siachen Glacier, Capt Dasgupta was commanding a post at an altitude of 20,500 feet.
On 06 June 1998, at around 1930 hours as he was observing the enemy post from a sentry bunker, he noticed some suspicious movement by the enemy at a post about 1500 metres away.
On closer observation he could make out that enemy was moving towards the ground position line, probably to attack his own post.
He mounted the Medium Machine Gun and opened fire on the enemy and killed two soldiers on the spot. He immediately alerted his post. The enemy opened up heavy artillery and automatic guns burst on the post in retaliation.
The enemy also resorted to firing 82mm Mortar Bombs. During heavy enemy Mortar fire, he engaged enemy at Three-Pimple Post. During firing he was hit by enemy Mortar splinters.
Capt Dasgupta regardless of personal safety even after being injured continued firing on the enemy post and ensuring that the enemy could make no headway. He later succumbed to his injuries.
For his conspicuous gallantry, courage, initiative and valour in the face of the enemy and soldierly devotion to duty, Capt Dasgupta was awarded with the Vir Chakra (P).
26 years of #Kargil#LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Naib Subedar Mangej Singh, Vir Chakra (P), 11 RAJ RIF, made the supreme sacrifice during #OpVijay at Pt 5590, in Turtuk, #OnThisDay 06 June in 1999
Remember the gallant #IndianBrave laid down his life while covering fire for rest of his patrol
On 06 June 1999 during Nb Sub Mangej Singh was part of a patrol tasked to establish a foothold and set up own post at Point 5590 in the Turtuk sector. Nb Sub Singh volunteered for the patrol and was assigned the command of medium machine gun detachment in the fire support role. He tactically employed the automatic as the patrol moved forward using fire and move tactics.
When the patrol was 50 mts short of the target, the enemy opened heavy automatic fire on our troops. Nb Sub Singh personally took charge of the medium machine gun and engaged the enemy. The medium machine gun was deployed in the open terrain without any cover. In the firefight, he received gunshot wounds in his chest.
Undeterred by his injuries and showing utter disregard to personal safety, he continued firing on the enemy till the patrol could extricate itself from the enemy fire. In the bargain, he received more bullets in his abdomen and laid down his life fighting the enemy.
Nb Sub Singh displayed exemplary courage and mental robustness in the face of enemy with total disregard to his personal safety and made the supreme sacrifice for the Nation.
Naib Subedar Mangej Singh was awarded the #VirChakra posthumously. 🏵️

@clary_co@AnantGuptaAG@scroll_in Dr Clary: did the Karachi Port attack story not come from a posting from the Port's X/Twitter account that they were under attack? A later posting clarified that the account had been hacked, IIRC.
Champion stuff from Shehbaz Sharif: “Given the economic progress India claims to have made, war would be a complete disaster for them. The destruction would be India’s to bear; we’re already in a struggling phase, so we’re prepared for any scenario.”

India doesn’t need propaganda. It needs clarity.
In an age of hybrid war, truth is national duty, not mere virtue.
Silence today signals weakness.
🇮🇳 must rise not just in GDP—but in narrative, clarity & conviction.

@clary_co@StimsonCenter Only flagging this because it is central to current / future (de)escalation - not to quibble - but that sentence seems to express general intent, rather than event sequence. It would be helpful if you could slightly expand that, in this (or a future) paper.
Thank you, Dr Clary.
@clary_co@StimsonCenter Would it be possible for you to clarify whether you considered that point of information important - and if not, your reasoning?
Prima facie, it capped this conflict - and would seem to influence escalation caps in the next conflict - with significant implications.
@clary_co@StimsonCenter Dr Clary: India's DGMO stated that the Pak DGMO made the 3.35 pm call to request a cessation. The source of the request matters. It informs competing claims of victory. If undermined (e.g. by Pak victory claims), it shapes whether such a DGMO request would be accepted next time.
Pakistan’s low-threshold & suicidal reliance on a “nuclear deterrent” is behind this panic attack. Now they know IAF can devastate ALL of their airbases without getting even 100 km of their air space…
It could be a 100 missile hits at Sargodha instead of just a couple…
In its media briefing, the DG ISPR of Pakistan used a small part of a full video clip of Aaj Tak News Channel to claim Indian airfield has been destroyed.
This is an attempt by #Pakistan to mislead its own people by producing doctored footage as evidence.
The actual story in the full video shows the news channel was talking about the destruction of a Pakistani airfield by Indian forces.

@MoodyNarain Right. I think there is a strong consensus already around science, technology, and innovation, so policy imperatives should stay on track there. Industrial policy for value chains - now that's going to be really interesting.
