Test Driven Development has its benefits, but when trying to use it with a content management system creating the test data is a bit of a chore. Umbraco makes editing content a doddle, so why not make the most of that and let XPEDITE automate the test creation based your pages.
XPEDITE does the following automatically:
📷 Generates snapshots tests
⚡ Generates unit test functions
⌨️ Generates fake data based on CMS content
⏭️ Generates Next.js React components
I've added XPEDITE to #Umbraco Marketplace. This extension is designed to help you get a headless #nextjs site created quickly and easily.
Once configured it autogenerates #Typescript components with snapshot tests based on your content types and applies these to your codebase.
You make poor decisions when you have 6 month old twins; choosing to build https://t.co/Ii5bCe0LXK in client side #React was the wrong choice. Finally the site is on #Next.js like it should have been from day one. I thought the stats would be better, but I was amazed how much...
@AaronSadlerUK If it can connect to a git repo, then you should be able to. I'm not a Cloudflare pro, but I think you'd be more likely to use Cloudflare pages rather than workers for xStatic sites.
Why stop serving content when your #Umbraco instance goes down?
This demo video shows how you can use #xStatic to create a backup of your live Umbraco site and serve that when the main site is down.

@carlcod_es Thanks Carl, this is exactly the issue we've seen on Mac that I can't replicate (as a Windows user). My guess is maybe a casing issue, I seem to remember that can be an issue on Mac but not Windows. Linux may be the closest I can get to test.
After finding @CodeSharePaul 's amazing PSW tool it made me realise that installing xStatic sucked. 14.1 fixes that! In what I can only imagine is the first #umbraco speedrun I install the CMS, configure xStatic, and deploy to #netlify in under 3 mins. https://t.co/4z7irLEUc3
If you have a Mac, please do give this a go. I currently have an open issue where it 100% works for me but not for a Mac user and we can't pin down a cause.
This release fixes race conditions between #umbraco and xStatic so both can be installed at the same time. You no longer need to make any code changes to get started. You can also create Netlify sites from within the CMS.
xStatic v14 beta release now on NuGet for any intrepid #umbraco explorers. Complete UI rebuild using Lit/TS/UUI and now finally comes with multi language site support out the box. Last call for any breaking changes you need put in before the major version is locked in.
@rippergc_ Next time the journalists should be able to call you out if they think you've used the code word and the caught person gets the shirt; that stops it from just being luck of the draw who gets asked a question last.
#nac5 games are now over, so why not start playing @JamesDash 's grid game instead. https://t.co/QpayynMXv7. I think it works, but something else was happening on the second screen while I built it. GGs @Hera_Aoe and Yo.
For the first time (other than the twins and Ikea furniture) my wife and I have made something together! We built a website https://t.co/krG6EKhbWA. Find books for kids <5 that contain characters with their names. We have over 1300 books, but please tell us if you know any more!
