'SUZIE💔
Well … there’s no words really, this little Shar Pei lady really has broken our hearts. She was abandoned in boarding kennels before Christmas in such a state, and now is in our care ready for a new start
Red raw skin, her ears are literally oozing with pus, so underweight, and of course she’s clearly been heavily bred from too.
Suzie has been to our vets to start her treatment … and now is desperate for a FOSTER HOME where she can start to recover.
She’s an absolute sweetheart who’s been such a good girl - she’s totally clean, happy to be left, and absolutely loves being warm and comfy.
Please help us to help by sharing Suzie - she is desperate for a foster home.

Today my brother is 10. A little over three years ago he was given a 10% chance to make it to the end of the week as SharPei Fever led to necrotizing fasciitis literally eating his skin. Thanks to his doctors & our parents care and his strength, he survived. Happy 10th Birthday
@Leeanne009 All were treated for it but until our boy lived to 12, none who had it made to 8. We started them on supplements - which we still give all our sharpei -that helped. Hi Vitality - designed for Sharpei. Hopefully breeders are testing & are better at making sure they don’t breed 10s
@Leeanne009 Here she is. Taken this evening. Key is using a responsible breeder who tests for SPAID and does not breed 10s at all and breeds 2s or alternatively breeds a 6 with a 2. Hopefully that will reduce SPAID. Make sure your next Sharpei is a 2 or alternatively a 6.
@Leeanne009 Sorry for your loss. He lived with a great quality of life till age 13. Fever first at 3 & at 6 local vets said he wouldn’t live 3 months. My early Sharpei all lived to 12-14. Ones with SPAID never made it to 7. Our current girl tested 6-No SPAID at age 5

Before reading tweet, my first reaction to seeing this picture was that it looked liked the @BuffaloBills helmet/logo. Not aware that it was intended to. So her nephew’s artistic message was conveyed at least to this ol’ dog.
But if he leaves it on the floor, I’m still eating it
"So my 7yr old nephew made this in school and some kid on the bus told him it looks nothing like the Bills logo. My nephew cried the whole way home. I’m asking everyone to share this, so we can show him all the love, and help him feel better... (cont)
