Between Madakudi and the Kudumurutti River, work is progressing at a somewhat slow pace.

Between the Kudumurutti River and Semmangudi, work is progressing at a brisk pace. Land leveling is almost complete.

For the entire project, approximately 80% of the land leveling is complete, and culvert work is 80% finished.

No work has commenced yet for bridges across Kudumurutti and Sullanar river.

Hindrances: Yes (3 private structures and 1 government structure)

Utility Relocations Needed:

🚧 Around 5 electric poles need to be shifted.
🚧 EB wires need to be elevated in 4 locations.
🚧1 distribution transformer needs to be relocated.

📈 Overall Progress: 50%

One more accident between Kumbakonam - Aduthurai portion of the kumbakonam - Sirkazhi Greenfield alignment.

@AdvtSudha mam, do you know where Aduthurai is located?

In the bottleneck portion of Kumbakonam - Aduthurai, frequent accidents started to happen as many heavy vehicles & four wheelers used this road as a primary road.

Don't know, how long the Kumbakonam - Sirkazhi Greenfield alignment will be kept under abeyance 🥲

Now it's becoming a daily routine. Frequent accidents happening in Kumbakonam - Sirkazhi existing Road.

Where the Kumbakonam - Sirkazhi Greenfield alignment is flagged as a non priority and the existing road is facing accidents due to high PCU and heavy vehicles.

During Hon'ble CM @mkstalin tenure, Kumbakonam District is in consideration.

Even the Deputy CM, starts to give Kumbakonam District Commitment.

But Kumbakonam District is not yet formed.
