Stevie

Casual gamer that casually posts videos on YouTube and casually streams multiplayer games when I have the free time!

[Stevie @_StevieFrench]

Greedy corpo scum mentality! Not what gaming was meant to be and nowhere close to what it use to be with decisions like these!

Jeff Bezos claims that in the future, you will not buy a gaming PC.

You will only rent computing power in the cloud to play games online.

He called it inefficient and predicted it won't last, saying people will instead rent computing power from the cloud, much like buying electricity today.

[IT Unprofessional @it_unprofession]

I woke up at 1:27 PM today.

I checked my phone. I had missed a 1:00 PM meeting with the CIO.

My Slack status had been set to "Away" for nine hours.

He sent a message: "We're waiting on the call. Where are you?"

I didn't panic. I didn't apologize.

I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and typed:

"Sorry! I was up until 4:30 AM manually re-indexing the SQL fragmentations. The automated script failed and I didn't want to risk data corruption during business hours."

(I was actually up until 4:30 AM watching a 4-hour YouTube documentary about airplanes).

His reply came in 10 seconds:

"Wow. Thank you for catching that. Please, get some rest. We can reschedule."

The Lesson: Management doesn't know what we do. If you use words like "fragmentation" and "corruption," they won't fire you. They’ll thank you for your sacrifice.

Incompetence looks exactly like martyrdom if your vocabulary is technical enough.

I’m going back to bed.

LMAO!!! It ends on a little league error!! WTF hahaha.. throw that bitch to first bro. Tbf #phillies make too many of those types of plays so they don't deserve to win.

[AGSLIVE @hard8_times]

I'm strongly considering not buying #Battlefield6 that Brooklyn map is the last straw. Nine maps at launch, and 4 are COD style? My most anticipated MP game reduced to shit I can't believe what BF has become. I feel sick. R.I.P. Battlefield as I know it; it was a good run.
