Hello all!
After a calamitous afternoon of accidentally day trading for the first time (experience level: I have been invested in S&P for about a month), I have decided I need direction and accountability!
Just looking to connect with more investors who are just looking to grow their money via the stock market & S&S ISA!
Been lurking reading all you handsome lot discussing what you’re doing, so thought I’d try get involved, and imagine I’ll learn a whole lot more by dipping my toe in!
So, if you’ve got space for a little one - let me know who I should follow and/or I’d love to connect with as many people as possible on the same journey!

Today marks one month since starting my investing journey!
A couple of years ago I ran my first marathon, I fucked that up without having a training plan and running off vibes/how I felt. I missed my target by about 40 minutes.
A few months later my ego wouldn’t settle so I decided to do another one, this time set a plan & worked towards it, day by day. Completing with a time of just over 3 hours 30 minutes.
This was a turning point for me as I finally realised what consistency could do. Especially as someone who just went off how I was feeling and hates plans😂 (I still hate planning things, makes me feel trapped?!).
Anyway the moral of this waffle is:
- Set yourself a goal
- Plan how to get there
- Stick with it, even if you don’t feel like it, as that consistency can get you a hell of a lot further than you expect!
A long long way to go, as they say - a marathon, not a sprint!

Good morning & happy Friday team 🙏
I hope you all have a great end of the week & the market gods favour us going into the weekend!
El portfolio this fine morning:
LFG🚀
Think it would have to be invested, guess it depends on the rate of the mortgage. (I don’t have one so bit alien to me😂)
Longer term though & opportunity cost wise, certainly go with investing it as I’m sure the you’d generate more income then you’d save!
Really depends on state of mind too, if you were to pay your mortgage off earlier - it would give you a peace of mind that is probably unmatched!
Jumping on the bandwagon!
Here’s my analytics after 2/3 days on FinX, super happy with this start & even more grateful🫶🏼
Looking forward to growing some more, might just be here for morale support at the moment but excited to add value soon!
What can you expect from X payouts, can’t find much about it online?!
