On Elon Musk
Elon's perspective is so first principles driven that while he does recognize what is popular or not and can work with it, his decisions as to what to do next are not tied at all to the mainstream, but are following a technology tree chart derived from basic physics or his favorite science fiction story.

On Peter Thiel
Thiel is extremely good at noticing when the common consensus is correct or wrong for basically bad reasons. And I do include correct here, where whenever you think that even if people are directionally making the right bet for the wrong reasons, there's some financial alpha there. There's some possibility of finding that distinction. Thiel’s question is: “how is the mainstream wrong and what can we do about it to make it correct?” which makes him a great technology investor — a great technologist, but also a great investor. Thiel is looking for where the mainstream is wrong and so he's willing to take big bets that make him very unlikable know many people at the time also in perpetuity, but often vindicated.

On Sam Altman
Sam will see where the enthusiasm and energy lies, and it's like, okay, can we harness this and even further develop it, even grow this and push it somewhere real? Sam is able to identify trends that people are excited about and thus that makes him an amazing fundraiser and recruiter and perhaps one of our best.

Thiel’s view would probably be very closely related to preventing violence on a global scale and the abuse of individuals and the scapegoating of individuals. Elon's would be focused on species survival and know, let's expand through the universe, let's have AI not kill, let's like actually reach a new destiny. And that's the point of the activity. And then Sam is sort of like, let's reach abundance. The advocates and the critics of capitalism are right.
