*TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SAID TO DISCUSS US TAKING STAKE IN INTEL

The history of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is nothing short of a disaster.
Why start this now?
(Ok, Amtrak might be an SOEs exception, but doesn't this prove my point?)
Realizing that we innately want to evolve--and that the other stuff we are going after, while nice, won't sustain our happiness--has helped me focus on my goals of evolving and contributing to evolution in my own infinitely small way. While we don't like pain, everything that nature made has a purpose, so nature gave us pain for a purpose. So what is its purpose? It alerts us and helps direct us. #principleoftheday
That means interest rates have got to be high enough that they’re a good return for the creditor, without being so high that they’re bad for the debtor.
In the US, we recently came out of a long free money environment in which interest rates were nil and real interest rates went to -1.7%. And through this, we increased our debt to GDP ratio — the government went into a lot of debt so they could write checks for a lot of things.
As debts rise relative to incomes that are supposed to support the debt, this becomes a difficult balance. And in a classical debt cycle, you inevitably reach a point where you have to borrow to service your debt. That can lead to a debt spiral and an economic heart attack.
It’s been 54 years since Nixon took us off the gold standard. Four years ago, as the Fed proclaimed inflation transitory, this video marked 50 years of fiat money. Since then, the national debt soared by $9 trillion, and gold climbed by over 85%. Both are poised to spiral higher!
FACT: Boston’s tap water ranks as the best-tasting in the United States, thanks to protected forested watersheds.
These forests naturally filter the water, so by the time it reaches the city, it needs only minimal treatment or added chemicals.
Understand the concept of "by-and-large" and use approximations. Because our educational system is hung up on precision, the art of being good at approximations is insufficiently valued. This impedes conceptual thinking. #principleoftheday
So far, there is no official word from the White House about the cuts, but many believe California is being targeted due to its policies. https://t.co/9JgieCnafy https://t.co/9JgieCnafy
