Joshua Andrews appeared in court Monday and learned his trial is set for February 1, 2027

The judge also approved a request to move the trial out of Madison County because of the publicity surrounding the case

Investigators say Andrews grabbed his ex-girlfriend, Glynis Jackson, from the Nissan parking lot in January 2025 and forced her into a car at gunpoint

Jackson later jumped from the moving vehicle and was hit and killed by another car, and an autopsy found she was pregnant and had been shot in the back and leg

Andrews is charged with capital murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm
