Lest we not forget Margaret Tundlesnipe who did indeed make a tree in the park her home for many years.
In fact she went on to open what would’ve been a lovely bakery inside the tree.
Had the tree not caught fire almost instantly.
‘Eating eggs is mad.‘ - Sir William Goochend.
Mayor of the village from around 1793. He outlawed eggs calling them ‘Hen Spaff’.
This outlawing is the origin of village slurs like ‘Egg Snaffler’ and ‘Spaff Merchant’.
And of course the village Hymn:
‘You’re an egg c*nt’
This painting of the village from 1915 was painted before the culture ban in the village. It is one of few pieces of art that has survived that period from 1915-1960 where expression of any kind was outlawed.
The village DVD is still available in at least one shop.
A woman came to film a documentary about us all in the village.
Unfortunately, she perished within a week and never got to finish her film. But kind local residents recorded themselves on the camera she left behind.
This user left this comment after seeing one of our #VillageCelebrities across the street.
They thought it was Jerry but it turned out to be Smokey Peter, a pig being prepared to roast for the village fete.
Rest in Peace Peter. You will forever be missed.
Actually the most feared widow in the village is Maude Evans. Who since her husbands death has claimed 83 lives. If you see her roaming the streets at night RUN!
In the village for many years Pork Jam Paul drove around in his van selling his rancid pork meat doughnuts. Stopped when Paul died from a colony of parasitic worms in his frontal cortex.
However, The village burger van remains at its usual spot in the car park at the hospital.
Burger vans exist, why don't they drive from street to street, playing tunes and delivering their wares straight to our houses like their ice cream cousins?
For clarity, we are unaware of these barbers operating in The Village.
Munnery Hackman would like to remind everyone for a limited time only he is offering everyone his 'yank special' down at the shop. An ancient technique of cutting hair by pulling it out.
Book today.
It’s important to remember that The Village is not under the jurisdiction of any nation.
If an idiot gets out we will not be held responsible.
Does someone want to check where Derek is?
