All the messaging coming out of Xbox, Bethesda and Activision tells me it’s going to be a very long time before we see a new IP come out of Xbox.
I love me some sequels but a good new IP keeps things fresh
@krvzvox@JamieMoranUK@Logmey92 Your definitely right on that, only thing I would say is they are getting rid of the bigger bloat overall. Plus letting go of worse performing studios that burned through way more money & risk than those main titles. So in my opinion they could risk those titles over the AA’s.
@HapyWanderer@PlayerEssence Lmao, like you can talk a quick look at your profile you have no morals or meaningful arguments. Calling others fanboys or corpo bootlickers when you’re a Nintendo cuck yourself. Talk about Irony dude, I’ll do a you “BLOCKED” 😜
@krvzvox@JamieMoranUK@Logmey92 I understand that, but can you agree locking in just the big titles and also time crunching them might damage the entire thing as a whole? Let alone as long as they didn’t get out of budget and still sold well and profited. Why not keep them, they still have a big enough fan base
I was never worried about ID closing that would be crazy, their proprietary engine is worth it let alone the IP. What worries me is the “make them faster” that’s a recipe for disaster. Because crunch culture works does it… just ask Activision.
id software layoffs and organizational changes
-id software will remain open despite the Xbox layoffs, sales & closures
-95 staff laid off at id software
-Xbox wants Doom, Quake & Wolfenstein games more often
-More layoffs could come from a second wave of layoffs coming as part of today’s changes
-no organizational changes within id but rumours suggest less autonomy
