Today I joined the rest of my people in a peaceful protest against the bad roads

Our protest was against the Bad roads especially the Bubulo-Bududa Circular Road. The government has ignored us for so long even after promising to work on the road.

Went to Bududa earlier this year, had to travel back to Mbale same day. I exercised a lot of trust in the boda guy that carried me to the taxi stage. The guy was nearly entering tsutsu-river but he told me not try jumping off the bike😫

This bridge is on a @GovUganda
road, the #BubuloBududaCircularRoad and it is the only bridge that people of Bududa and Manafwa district use to access Bududa Hospital which is just 200 meters away. H.E @KagutaMuseveni promised to tarmac this road decades ago!

UPDATE: The dire state of the Bubulo-Bududa Circular Rd. connecting the people of Bududa, Manafwa, and surrounding communities urgently needs tarmacking.

The 28 km road is a critical artery for the social economic development in the Bugisu sub-region due to its vast linkages.

This Road is in dire state, the main road connecting to the referral hospital serving Bududa and Manafwa and this bridge is afew meters away from the hospital, lives have been lost due to late hospital arrivals and the community is running out of patience.

The president confirmed his support to enable us have a tarmacked Bubulo- Bududa circular road , we clapped and danced and eagerly kept high hopes. 39 years now the hope is ggone.
