I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.
They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.
They are a right-wing organization that undermines democracy. They have zero tolerance for any diversity of thought from their line, and pressure elected officials to increasingly place themselves at odds with our responsibility to represent the electorate and the views of the majority of Americans, who find the genocide in Gaza an appalling affront to American values and do not want to see US taxpayer funded weapons used to perpetuate it.
AIPAC also knows this. That’s why none of their political ads discuss their actual issue at all and why they use vaguely named Super PACs so people don’t connect them with their own stated political mission and intent.
🚨NEW: Zohran Mamdani on expanding childcare:
Kid at podium: “A woo woo woo.”
Mamdani: “That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan.”
Then: “We’ll expand what’s possible — and what noises we can make at a press conference.”
Policy with joy.
Leadership with humanity.
Imagine that.
I built my life on the internet. Always marveled at how we could connect with people anywhere, anytime. I made friends in different continents, cities, social circles. Every day I wake up and feel like a little bit more of that place I grew up in has been taken away.
ICE agents were circling an elementary school in the Minneapolis suburbs, so congressional candidate Matt Little went up to their window to ask why they were there and they left.
It would be nice if current members of Congress were this brave. Elect Matt.
What is happening in the Twin Cities and the Great North Star State is heartbreaking to witness. These events have cost lives and shaken families — and we must call for accountability, transparency, and protections for all people. This moment demands that we reflect honestly on what our values truly are. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the families of Renée Good and Alex Pretti.
I stand with the people of Minnesota.
My mom was stopped and harassed by masked ICE agents while shopping at an outlet mall in Texas. Because she has an accent, they assumed she spoke Spanish and started talking to her in Spanish. When she said she doesn’t speak Spanish, they began demanding where she was “from,” rapidly listing countries without even giving her a chance to respond.
My mom told them she’s been in this country longer than some of them have been alive. She was only allowed to leave after showing a photo of her U.S. passport on her phone.
She is a U.S. citizen. She has lived in this country for 47 years. If you think this is just about “sending criminals back,” you are dead wrong.
This Minneapolis resident just said what everyone should be feeling right now:
“This started as a pretext about immigration and fraud… it’s WELL beyond that now.
It’s your 2nd Amendment, your 4th Amendment, your 6th Amendment.”
“We’re performing CPR on what may already be a corpse called the Constitution.”
Wake up. This isn’t just Minneapolis. It’s ALL of us.
For the retards who still think this is a left/right issue:
You can be against illegal immigration and against government tyranny.
You can support deportation but oppose federal agents killing U.S. citizens.
They will look you dead in the face and say J6 rioters with guns, poles, bats, etc were patriots, but an ER Nurse with a camera and a registered firearm was a domestic terrorist.
