@jayexci2 Part of the problem for me is the fact it can fit into any era. It’s too generic a story for one set in a universe where they can afford to push the boat out. Also doesn’t help that I find it incredibly dull. 😭
@jayexci2 One of the weakest of McGann’s original run for sure. Imagine it only got the green light because it was someone who had written for the TV show writing it. A shame because I really like C’Rizz but his introduction is shockingly shit.
@thatotherharry The cost and stresses involved vastly outweigh any enjoyment for me, most of which come from photo ops tbh. All that stress and money for a two-second “hello!” and a photo you might not be happy with ain’t it 😭
@lesse_jingard Individual episodes can still be good independent of the series-arc, but the series as a whole narrative doesn’t work, for me. Hence the tweet and specific reference to the “mystery”.
@lesse_jingard I think it’s valid that people’s feelings on a series following a bad finale that poorly concludes (or outright does not conclude) the threads set up throughout change retroactively when lots of those episodes include set up that doesn’t pay off.
@JayExci Going to be an annoying contrarian and ask for eight episodes annually but the full season is sixteen episodes long split into two so we get the best of both worlds
