@ImLunaHey@valigo If you look at old ray william johnson videos from 2012, a lot of viral videos at the time weren't even cracking a million views. You probably weren't at the top of the homepage at 100k but it was definitely a big deal
@evileboxyboo@GOGcom I mean they're bad examples because those countries don't prefer their own endonyms. I'm not even disagreeing with you, it's dumb when countries ask to be referred to in their native language but the Turkey thing isn't astroturfing. Most Turks genuinely prefer the new name
@evileboxyboo@GOGcom Do you feel the same way about Ivory Coast wanting to be called Côte d'Ivoire, or the Czech Republic preferring Czechia? If you're consistent on that position that's fine, but it seems silly to take a stance because of an authoritarian government in specific.
@suchnerve I think it's a good tool but the $5/month plan may well not exist. I got anxiety looking things up in the free trial and blasted through 100 searches in 3 days. 300 would definitely not last me a month and anything under unlimited would just make me nervous to use the tool.
@michaelkeenan_0 Oh... interesting, https://t.co/ZYQdW2UWRg is supposed to redirect to that page, but I guess that endpoint lives in their own infrastructure. Would be nice if there was a CNAME for that specific subdomain or something
@kershnerd@josefbender_@JavaScript Lodash is already in your bundle like 7 different times as a transitive dependency. If you're lax with the version constraint there's not much cost to using it, if any
@ppro2020_@kscepersky@Sheep_Esports It also requires System Integrity Protection to be enabled which is a deal breaker for me because I need it turned off for my window manager (yabai)
