Ray Lewis was charged with a murder that actually happened, and pleaded to obstruction of justice in the case. Multiple people claimed to witness Ben Roethlisberger rape a girl in a bar bathroom while his "security" guards blocked the door, and the victim called the police to the bar that night. By contrast, Deshaun Watson was accused of "coming on to" a group of masseuse/prostitutes who were all represented by the same high-powered lawyer who's neighbors with the Texans owner, whose accusations didn't emerge until years after the fact, and only after Deshaun publicly criticized Texans ownership and refused to play for them. One must be woefully ignorant or dishonest to act as if Deshaun deserves a fraction of the scorn he's received relative to Lewis or Ben; or that the difference in way these situations are viewed isn't wholly due to the fact that NFL owners (with the help of their pathetic mouthpieces in the media) are bent on retaliating against Deshaun to send a message to other players who would speak out against them, whereas the owners were eager to sweep the Lewis and Roethlisberger stories (see also Ray Rice, Tyreek Hill, Adrian Peterson, etc. etc. etc.) under the rug.
