Years ago Vice had an ill-fated TV channel called Viceland. I was a junior motion graphics designer for the marketing department. One thing we did was make branded interstitials that aired during commercial breaks. Vice poured mountains of money and resources into the TV network but there was surprisingly little creative oversight on these so in my spare time I would make my own little TV commercials and almost all of them were approved and sent to air. I left the job after a few years, the channel ended and these became ephemeral but I always wondered if people saw and enjoyed them. I think Vice is still technically a company for now but hopefully enough time has passed that I can share these.
