@jkrajewski@waitbutwhy Scenario: 51% of people push red, the other 49% die. Your choice to guarantee your survival contributed to their demise.
All you had to do was take on risk.
Do you take solace in your feeling of superiority?
@jkrajewski@waitbutwhy The original question is this: does one choose to trust others, or does one choose to participate in manufactured scarcity so that they can guarantee their safety. Your participation in the red option guarantees the demise of some.
@jkrajewski@waitbutwhy That's not the question though; just your sad attempt to deflect. The original question is of morals and willingness to risk oneself to preserve life. The red button is the choice of a selfish coward, guaranteeing ones safety at the expense of others not willing to do the same.
@wstae_of_tmie@jkrajewski@waitbutwhy Pressing the red button increases the likelihood of everyone who didn't do the same dying. It's placing a bet on the cynicism of mankind, to do nothing but save yourself. Pressing the blue button provides no benefit and no loss in and of itself. It's a selfless act.

They are amazing people. I am so proud of them.
@JoelWWood At the same time without making assumptions, the power of those things is all the reason that people should learn both proper control and etiquette/awareness.
