@DanielCars05 I did 60k in my previous car, a 330d xDrive. They’re great cars and I prefer the touring shape. My recommendation is to get the Bimmercode app and ensure all the recalls are done. ZF recommend servicing the 8sp every 60k, if I recall.
@AutoPap I got this Golf GTI three weeks ago and while I admit I’m still in the honeymoon period, I see why it has been a popular choice for the enthusiasts for the last 50yrs.
@MttRbnsn@McLarenAuto Yes it was. 👋🏼 I live in the Peak District and was heading over to Newark with work. I spotted the MCL plate and thought “that’s a McLaren press car” before realising. Hang on, I’ve seen that on X.
@MttRbnsn If I was to go for an R5, it’d be a RG. I daily a 330d that has heated Oyster leather so prefer lighter interiors and am a softie so I ‘need’ the seated heats. The whole range is decent though, Renault have done well with this.
@MttRbnsn Yup, it turned so many heads and received so many positive reactions in the 2hr test drive I had. It’s a very impressive car and the Roland Garros R5 is tempting.
@AutoInfatuation BMW say ‘sealed for life’ but will also sell you the ZF service kit from the main dealer. I take ‘sealed for life’ to mean ‘sealed for the duration of the warranty.’
I took my 330d for a gearbox service a few years ago; just shy of £400 if I recall from a ZF approved garage.
@timoldland@renault_uk I really enjoyed my test drive. I had a solo test drive for a number of hours. If I do go for a R5, it opens up a lot of options for a “weekend car.” #manmaths
@k9cbw@AutoPap Exactly, the 330d xDrive is an excellent car but I am debating whether buying the R5 allows me to justify buying a weekend car. #manmaths.
