@NammaBESCOM@mdbescom@BescomHelpline Meter reading at Gate No. 50/4, Gubbi Cross, Kothanur, Hennur Main Road (next to Indradhanush Layout) is due on the 10th of every month. Despite complaints raised with 1912 nearly a week ago, no meter reader has turned up.
Readers arrive at their convenience, leading to extended billing cycles, inflated average consumption and alleged overload penalties. Consumers should not be penalised for BESCOM’s failure to read meters on time.
Take immediate action and enable self-declaration of meter readings with bill generation when readers fail to visit as scheduled. Ensure fair billing and accountability. #BESCOM
@delhivery@Delhivery Your continued failure to deliver my shipment and respond meaningfully to numerous complaints is unacceptable. LRN: 320687301. Despite repeated follow-ups, you have failed to provide a clear update on the shipment’s whereabouts or a credible delivery commitment. This reflects a serious lack of accountability and professionalism. Stop giving customers the runaround. Trace the shipment and provide an immediate, factual update. @AlijaGlobal
@raysaurav@lakshaymehta08 Ofcourse parking on road , I can't object. But parking just right in front of the gate and blocking my easement rights is not acceptable.
@AllwellMartin@lakshaymehta08 Police do not enforce or I feel no provision to complaint for such violation with a fine or any rules in traffic offences. Even if we call police, they respond after couple of hours, by which time these parking violators move off .
Property gates are blocked by random vehicles, and when residents ask them to move, it leads to verbal abuse and physical altercations! The new @GBA_office Parking Rules must strictly ban parking directly in front of active gates with immediate towing/heavy fines.Citizens shouldn't face threats at their own doorsteps!

Public Suggestion on the Draft Greater Bengaluru Area (Parking) Rules, 2026 – Inclusion of strict penalties for blocking residential/commercial gates and preventing public altercations.
Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to the notification inviting public suggestions and objections on the Draft Greater Bengaluru Area (Parking) Rules, 2026, I would like to submit the following critical suggestion for inclusion in the final rules:
Proposed Provision: Strict Prohibition and Penalties for Parking in Front of Property Gates
1. The Issue & Safety Concerns: Property owners and residents frequently face severe inconvenience, mental harassment, and emergency delays because external vehicles park directly in front of their gates, completely obstructing the movement of vehicles. Furthermore, when residents politely request these vehicle owners to clear the gate, it routinely escalates into heated altercations. Residents are frequently subjected to severe verbal abuse, intimidation, and even threats of physical attack by unruly motorists. This has become a significant law-and-order and safety issue within residential neighborhoods.
2. Proposed Rule: The rules must explicitly state that parking any vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) directly in front of any active residential or commercial gate, or in any manner that restricts the necessary turning clearance for vehicles moving in and out of the gate, is a strictly punishable offense. No vehicle should be allowed to park where it impedes the right of way of the property owner.
3. Proposed Enforcement & Penalties:
- Local traffic authorities or ward marshals must be empowered to immediately tow away any vehicle obstructing a gate upon a telephonic or app-based complaint by the resident.
- A heavy, compounding fine (minimum ₹2,000 for the first offense) should be levied, along with towing charges, to act as a strong deterrent against both illegal parking and aggressive behavior.
- Provision should be made for residents to safely upload photographic proof of the obstruction via a citizen app for instant e-challan issuance, reducing the need for face-to-face confrontations that lead to violence.
Incorporating this specific clause will protect the right of way for residents and safeguard citizens from unnecessary hostility and physical danger at their own doorsteps. I request you to kindly consider this inclusion.
@Voiceofhindus I think even mentioning that country and giving any negative or positive news is bad . Because they thrive on such publicities. Why should we even acknowledge Pakistan existence. They anyhow wish India never existed, likewise we should also treat them with ignorance
@samkesana@TOIBengaluru@rapidoapp_ Every platform starts off by not charging anything beyond the basic cost and GST, but over period of time once they acquire customers and have good traction, they start adding up various slabs to increase their profits
I think it will do a world of good if such platform are removed from our daily lives. Atleast it's a healthy way to walk to our nearest restaurant to eat and give us some physical movement. As it is these platforms are ripping apart the customer charging various slabs and nearly doubling the cost from the hotel rate . For the welfare of the common man, hotels should come out of the vices of such greedy platforms.
@krishnabgowda@GBA_office Sir , but that's hardly enough. Those rogues who attacked them should be severely punished by the law enforcement and also they should be banished from city limits for their illegal attack
Daily traffic logjam at Gubbi Cross needs urgent attention. Traffic from Bagalur Rd, K. Narayanapura Main Rd & Kothanur Rd slows because roadside parking near Vasavi Temple/Udupi Vaibhav blocks a lane. Allow parking only opposite IOB and declare Vasavi Temple–Indradhanush Layout a Strict No Parking Zone. @JointCPTrEast @DCPTrEastBCP@BlrCityTraffic@BlrCityPolice

Heavy traffic congestion at the junction near Vasavi Kanika Parameshwari Temple – Udupi Vaibhav Hotel, connecting K. Narayanapura Main Road, Kothanur Road, Gubbi Cross Road, and the Bagalur Road approach.
The biggest reason for the bottleneck is on-road parking on the temple side from Vasavi Temple up to Gubbi Cross, which significantly reduces the effective road width and causes long traffic queues.
Request:
• Allow parking only on the opposite side of the road (between Indian Overseas Bank and Udupi Vaibhav Hotel).
• Strictly enforce NO PARKING on the temple side.
• Extend the No Parking Zone from Vasavi Temple to Indradhanush Layout.
This simple traffic management measure can greatly improve vehicle movement and reduce congestion at this busy intersection.
Kindly inspect the location and take realistic corrective action.

🚨 URGENT: Restore Footpaths on Kothanur–K. Narayanapura Road
@krishnabgowda@GBA_office@GBAChiefComm@BlrCityPolice@blrcitytraffic@CPBlr @JointCPTr @DCPTrNorthBCP@DCPTrEastBCP@kothanurups The stretch from Udupi Vaibhav Junction to Biozeen Gate (Gubbi Cross) has become one of Bengaluru's worst footpath encroachment hotspots.
Illegal street vendors, food carts, hawkers, construction material vendors, sand/stone stockyards, parked tractors and sand lorries have occupied both footpaths and road margins, forcing pedestrians onto a busy arterial road leading towards Bagalur & the Airport.
Kindly conduct an immediate joint enforcement drive, relocate eligible vendors to designated vending zones, clear all encroachments and restore footpaths for pedestrians before a preventable tragedy occurs.

As part of the #SafeFootpathBengaluru campaign, I earnestly request your immediate intervention on one of the most dangerous pedestrian stretches in North Bengaluru.
The stretch from Udupi Vaibhav, Kothanur Junction, along K. Narayanapura Road up to the Biozeen entrance (Gubbi Cross) has become virtually impossible for pedestrians to use. On both sides of this busy arterial road, footpaths have been completely encroached by illegal street vendors, food carts, hawkers and temporary stalls, forcing pedestrians onto the main carriageway.
The entire footpath outside the Biozeen compound wall has been converted into an unauthorized vending zone. In addition, sand lorries, tractors, construction material vendors, and sand/stone loading activities occupy the road margins, creating severe traffic bottlenecks and posing a serious safety risk to pedestrians, school children, senior citizens and motorists.
This is a major arterial road connecting Bagalur and Kempegowda International Airport, carrying heavy traffic throughout the day. The present situation is unsafe, unacceptable and contrary to the objectives of the Government's Safe Footpath Campaign, which aims to restore footpaths exclusively for pedestrians.
I respectfully request BBMP, Bengaluru Traffic Police, Bengaluru City Police and the Greater Bengaluru Authority to conduct an immediate joint inspection and:
• Clear all footpath encroachments.
• Remove unauthorized vendors from this arterial road.
• Shift eligible vendors to designated government vending zones.
• Remove parked sand lorries, tractors and construction material operations from the road margins.
• Ensure continuous enforcement so that this stretch remains permanently accessible and safe for pedestrians.
I request Hon'ble Minister Shri Krishna Byre Gowda and all senior police and traffic authorities to treat this as a priority public safety issue and restore this stretch for pedestrians at the earliest.
