"I'm calling on the FG to intensify efforts to rescue the 40 schoolchildren abducted in Borno State same day as Oriire abduction, who have remained in captivity for over 110 days." – Governor Seyi Makinde
EXPOSED!!!
Attn, Governor @HonBago & Honourable Minister @muhammadpate
The only Primary Health Care facilities serving the people of Kusogi, Bokani Ward, Mokwa LGA, Niger State, are in a deplorable condition.
This is not just a building in poor condition; it is a healthcare crisis affecting real families every day.
Pregnant women, children, elderly people and other vulnerable residents are being forced to live with the consequences of inadequate healthcare infrastructure. When someone falls seriously ill or a child needs urgent medical attention, families may have to travel long distances in search of treatment. For people already struggling to survive, the cost of transportation, consultation, medication and treatment in private hospitals can be beyond their means.
This is why a functional PHC is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
Residents should not have to choose between seeking medical care and feeding their families. They should not have to watch their loved ones suffer because the only healthcare facility available to them has been allowed to deteriorate.
Niger State receives billions of naira through statutory allocations from the Federation Account, while significant resources have also been committed to healthcare interventions at both state and federal levels. Yet the condition of this facility raises a serious question about follow-up and accountability.
Government interventions should not end when funds are released or projects are announced. There must be proper monitoring to ensure that the intended communities actually benefit. Authorities must inspect projects on the ground, identify facilities that remain unfinished or unusable, and ensure that contractors and implementing agencies deliver what was promised.
I am therefore calling on the Niger State Government, the Niger State Primary Health Care Development Agency, the Ministry of Primary Health Care and Mokwa Local Government authorities to urgently visit Kusogi, assess the situation and take concrete steps to rehabilitate and properly equip this PHC.
Federal interventions should also be followed up to ensure that the people they were designed to serve are actually benefiting.
The people of Kusogi deserve access to safe, functional and affordable healthcare.
Please act. Do not wait for this situation to become another preventable tragedy.

“Protect your daughters.”
NO.
Raise sons who intervene.
Raise sons who understand consent.
Raise sons who DO NOT protect their friends when their friends harm women.
Did you see the CNN interview with her lawyer?
She wanted to leave mid semester and Cornell wouldn't give her family the money back. They made her choose to lose the money or finish the semester. So she stayed and finished and had to see them on campus. Every new detail is sickening
