As Malcolm X was leaving Accra, Ghana after visiting with President Kwame Nkrumah…..Shirley Graham Du Bois wrote “some of us warned him that his life would be in danger.

He (Malcolm) smiled that gentle smile, and said “Your President, Osagyefo (Kwame Nkrumah), has taught me the true meaning and strength of unity. If I can pass this on to my people, if I can show them the way-my life will be a small price to pay for such a vision”.

Yaa Amponsah is one of the songs that helped shape West African music, especially Ghanaian highlife. Its sound and rhythm became part of the foundation for a lot of modern African music. Legends like E.K. Nyame, Koo Nimo and Pat Thomas have all given the song their own flavor.

Kwame Nkrumah wrote a book called Neo-Colonialism: The Last Stage of Imperialism in 1965.

In it he argued that formal independence without economic independence was not real independence.

That the control of a country's resources by foreign capital, even without colonial administration, was a form of continued domination.

The United States State Department sent a formal protest to the Ghanaian government about the book.

A formal diplomatic protest.

About a book.

The following year, while Nkrumah was on an airplane to Hanoi, the Ghanaian military staged a coup.

The CIA's involvement is documented.

The book was published in 1965.

The coup was in 1966.

The Americans protested the book in 1965.

He was overthrown in 1966.

The sequence is not subtle.

The idea that neo-colonialism existed was itself enough to trigger the mechanism.

You did not have to be armed.

You did not have to be Soviet-aligned.

You did not have to be violent.

You had to be right.

Being right about how power worked was sufficient to activate the termination signal.

The label would follow. The operation would follow the label.

This is the system that the word "communist" built and maintained.

It is still operational.

The word changes.

The sequence is the same.

There are Ghanaian engineers at NASA.

Ghanaian surgeons running hospital departments in London.

Ghanaian economists at the IMF and World Bank, some of them administering the very programs that have failed their home country.

Ghanaian mathematicians. Ghanaian architects. Ghanaian writers who have won international literary prizes.

Ghanaian tech entrepreneurs building companies that work.

When given access to resources, institutions, and an enabling environment, Ghanaians perform at the highest levels of every field.

This is not an argument that individual talent solves structural problems.

It is a refutation of the claim that the problem is the people.

The problem is never the people.

The people are everywhere.

The talent is everywhere.

The ambition is everywhere.

The capacity is everywhere.

What is not everywhere is the policy space, the institutional support, the geopolitical backing, the market access, and the freedom from externally imposed economic programs that systematically prevent the conversion of human capacity into collective industrial development.

The difference between a Ghanaian running a department at a London hospital and Ghana having a functioning public health system is not the Ghanaian.

It is everything around the Ghanaian.

Science is the cure for religion.

The fossils on Qomolangma (Everest) are about 450 million years old. They are shallow sea-water shell hashes from before the tectonic plate was lifted.

That photo and discoveries along the mountain include trilabites. They went extinct 252 million years ago (Everest started to form about 60 million years ago).

Earth would need 5.8 billion cubic km of water to flood to the top of Everest. Earth has a TOTAL 1.3 billion cubic km of water.

IF earth had enough water to flood the entire planet all the way to the top of everything (it doesn't), it would take a very long time for those shells to form AND fossilize there, and according to the fairy tales, the flood lasted only a year.

And none of those sea creatures found fossilized would be able to form in such low salinity and high elevation. At 8,900 meters above sea level, the temperature is -46°C/-50°F. Everything would freeze to death.

Additionally....

The flood myth - originally the Epic of Gilgamesh - happened 2500 BCE. It would have wiped out all existing cultures.... including the Greeks, Egyptians, Indus Valley, Mesoamerica, and YET.... we have uninterrupted chrological histories from every one of them.

There are a great many scientific and historical reasons why the flood myth is known to be a farce. But it's the physics of the planet that really destroy the narrative.

A few months ago, I watched a TikTok live stream where Nigerians were openly discussing and planning ways to disrupt Ghana’s Detty December festivities. This reminds me of how the same group of foreigners previously attempted something similar in Rwanda: the gov there conducted an investigation and discovered it was a deliberate, coordinated effort aimed at discouraging tourists 4rm visiting Rwanda through malicious agendas.

These are acts of envy driven by ill intent, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs should remain vigilant and thoroughly scrutinize d true intentions behind why certain people are entering the country, many are simply jealous of the peace and prosperity Ghana enjoys.
