@LosAngelesChamp@SeaTownCollects@FAmmiranteTFJ Trading prospects doesn’t matter as much when you know your rental wants to sign with you anyways and you know if those prospects turn out to be superstars you’re one of the few teams that can pay them a huge contract down the line
@Yhlqmdlg2016@purpledrank0@RichardHair20@ale_diazlopez@SportsSuffererr Yeah I don’t care if the Rockies and Pirates are more competitive I care about if a team is well run if they actually have a shot to win a World Series. But comparing it to the economy instead of other sports leagues to make your point make more sense is solid 👍
@Yhlqmdlg2016@purpledrank0@RichardHair20@ale_diazlopez@SportsSuffererr Yes I’m referring to some of the bottom teams. There’s also the idea that if some of them were competitive they’d still never be able to spend like the Dodgers. I could be disappointed but every other league has a cap so imagine how good a place the league would be in then
@purpledrank0@Yhlqmdlg2016@RichardHair20@ale_diazlopez@SportsSuffererr “You should be thanking us! We’re able to spend loads of money on dogshit and be perfectly fine! If your team got him you’d be hamstrung for half a decade but it’s okay, you’ll never have to worry about that unless your owner wants to go bankrupt!”
@Yhlqmdlg2016@purpledrank0@RichardHair20@ale_diazlopez@SportsSuffererr If there’s a cap and floor smaller market teams will have to spend more so they might as well try to be competitive and large market teams won’t be able to spend $240M on Kyle Tucker just bc they can.
If the dodgers are smart with a great farm, their fans shouldn’t be so worried
@JeffPassan Hey bubba maybe as this goes on you can point out to the NY and LA fans that them going to bat for the multi multi millionaires who are getting a worse contract for the last guys on the bench isn’t as heroic as they think
