Haryana Insurance Scam 🤷🏻‍♂️

🔸 Between 2017 and 2019, a shocking insurance scam involving nearly 100 people from villages in Haryana was exposed.

🔸 How they cheated multiple insurance companies of over 100 crores is really fascinating.

🔸 The scam targeted terminal cancer patients and their families.

🔸 They would identify terminal cancer patients through the database of PGIMS, Rohtak by paying 10k-15k per file to the operator.

🔸 Bhoria and his aides then visited the families of those patient and tell them what they were set to lose with the death of the main working member of the family, and what they could gain if they played their part in the scheme.

🔸 Their bank accounts would be opened, the minimum amount put in, their PAN card applications would be submitted, insurance forms of multiple companies filled, and even premiums were provided for.

🔸When the patient would die, they would take the body to a spot and crush it with a vehicle to pass it off as an accident.

🔸Then the insurance is claimed from the multiple companies sometimes even 1 crore and distributed among the members of the gang and a small amount is also given to the family.

🔸 Even the Police Officers and Medical officers who conducted post mortem were part of this scam and were bribed with huge amount of money per case.
