get your amortization schedule for your loans ( student, mortgage, car, literally any long term debt). While your paying your monthly payments, pay against the principal. You will pay your debt of much faster

Open up a bank account with no card attached to it, and use that as your savings. Once you've saved about 2k, open up a high yield savings account
