You know when I was younger and my granny would say “Leave before the devil show up” whenever I’d go out somewhere, I used to be like girl what. But boy if that ain’t saved my life and sanity in a many situations
People who live in Lagos and Abuja all their lives do not understand Nigeria
I have seen bad governance affect people a lot in real time
Here is an example
If you used to travel by road from Abuja to Calabar or Uyo from 2006 - 2012, you will know that the Gboko-Ogoja route was the best route
And you will know that we used to always stop at Ogoja to eat. And there is this main fuel station we stopped. But there's one station before that main one where the food was better and cheaper
The owner is a couple, the man's name is Joshua. They enjoyed mad traffic and sold out 24/7.
I used to direct buses and customers to his shop anytime I arrive there and he will give me food for free with fresh palm wine
Ogoja was booming with business. The money made there became so huge that they started experiencing robberies of mad intensity. There was money there.
At some point I began nursing a dream of buying land or leasing land there for highway food business.
Guess what happened
Under GEJ, the roads from Bekwara began to go bad, no attention.
Under Buhari the roads died and the worst was now the roads from Ogoja to Ikom. You can stay on the road for days.
Armed Robberies went up. Every night at some point.
Drivers stopped passing there. All the businesses went down. Joshua called me some years back asking me to help him with an opportunity in Abuja
That's bad governance and its effects..
First step to fixing this country is building some proper libraries in every state. Our biggest challenge is the olodo uprising and it’s not getting better if olodos keep rising.
South Africa 🇿🇦 team captain Ronwen Williams has urged football fans in Africa and other countries to unite, saying, "Let's leave politics to politicians and play football."
“Bandits usually feed us to be strong. Then they take turns having sex with us everyday. Sometimes they can assign one girl to be pleasing 3 or 4 men daily..

I don’t even care if it’s real or not but I really hope I’m the first person to call ceoluminee a fool.
No contest at all, she’s the biggest fool to ever exist.
Nigerian women are being diagnosed with PCOS, fibroids, and hormonal disruption at rising rates.
Nobody is connecting it to the dietary shift.
Phytoestrogens (plant compounds that modulate oestrogen receptor activity) were abundant in the traditional Nigerian diet:
- Iru (fermented locust beans) = isoflavones
- Ugwu (fluted pumpkin seed) = phytosterols, oestrogen-modulatory
- African walnut (Asala) = lignans, aromatase inhibition
- Soybeans (native varieties, traditionally prepared) = genistein, daidzein
These compounds did not spike oestrogen.
They modulated it by occupying receptors and blocking excess circulating oestrogen, the driver of fibroids and oestrogen-dominant conditions.
The modern diet replaced them with:
- Xenoestrogens from plastic packaging
- Refined carbohydrates spiking insulin → driving oestrogen dysregulation
- Processed vegetable oils promoting inflammation
Your grandmother's diet was managing your hormones.
Nobody told the generation that switched to processed food what they were losing.
