One habit I picked up from someone I dated many years ago and I still practice till date is detailed apology.
In her words "Olayinka, I'm sorry is not a complete apology. What exactly are you sorry for?"
I think one of the craziest things about me is how long I can carry emotional pain without anybody noticing.
I will still laugh, Still answer texts.Still show up.Still make people feel loved. All while quietly falling apart in ways nobody thinks to ask about...
My dad was a pastor
I was raised in the church
But for over 28 years of my life, the idea of going to church everytime didn’t make sense to me until I personally met the Lord Jesus
Now the gathering of brethren dey sweet me
To listen to messages dey sweet me
To study my Bible dey sweet me
Until a man personally meet Christ, a lot can not make sense to him
No one talks about how draining it is when your mood is constantly switching between 'its okay, I don't care, I'll be okay' and 'I don't know how much more I can take'
