Your brain isn't built to show you reality. It's built to keep you alive
Which means your "experience" is a semi-functional hallucination meant for prediction, not perception

I'm a middle eastern historian. My own family were made refugees. And this is my honest view of the Nakba (“catastrophe”) - the displacement of around 700,000 Palestinian Arabs during the 1947–49 war surrounding the creation of Israel.
A thread. 🧵
Something I didn't expect to see. I left an acoustic resonator sim running chaotically for a while to stabilize. Came back to find particles had self organized into a toy universe of solitons, loops and knots.
the universe probably lends itself in some way to human conscious experience, as in our conscious experience is not an arbitrary construction but somehow easier for the universe to create than other ones. emotions & sight w/ optical illusions might be low hanging fruit
imagine an LLM's output was computed via paper/pencil. would you still count it as conscious? you're picking an arbitrary frame and calling it conscious.
imagine if for each computation, a mistake was made, erased, and corrected. you could make this arbitrarily complicated / rube-goldberg-like.
if you still consider that conscious, then you could also find a similar narrative for every atom in my room right now, claiming they're all spitting out works of shakespeare

In early testing, we are seeing customers get Nano Banana Pro quality with Flash speed and cost (which is a huge unlock).
Image search is also my new favorite tool, it grounds the model in real world contextual images unlocking tons of new use cases.
