Learning more about TanStack and tRPC.
Reading docs feels so much better than asking ChatGPT to explain / do it for me. Been doing it for 2 months now for 80% of the time.
Slower process, but better results (in terms of knowledge).
First features will include:
- Add / edit single day's track
- Set daily targets (e.g., max 2 coffees/day and max 1 decaf/day)
- Set weekly goals (e.g., max 1 time/week I can skip daily limits)
- Browse them by weeks
One of my goals for 2025 was to reduce coffees from 2/day to 1/day (or zero!) ☕️🙅🏻♂️.
I've been tracking data for 293 days on a Notion note.
Now I'm ideating a coffee-tracker app.
I have 11th mobile apps on my portfolio
Building the 12th while you are reading this
Shaping my path to financial freedom one app at a time
Building a portfolio of apps is the real strategy:
1. Each app is a lottery ticket
• Some will fail completely
• Others will generate $100/month
• A few will become cash cows
• You can't predict which ones
2. Each failure teaches you something
• App Store ranking algorithms
• User acquisition flows
• Pricing psychology
• Conversion optimization
3. Building becomes faster
• First app: 3 months
• Fifth app: 2 weeks
• Tenth app: 72 hours
• Reuse code across projects
4. Your skills become valuable
• Can't find a job? Build apps
• Want to freelance? Show your portfolio
• Need passive income? Multiple apps compound
5 apps × $2k/month average = $10k monthly
No boss. No commute. No limits.
Build 10 simple apps.
One of them will change your life.
✅ Day 1 – Shaped the idea
Talked to friends and family about it. Got initial feedback.
Used ChatGPT to find holes in my idea and brainstorm.
Identified potential users + drafted a quick business model.
(Still need to do a quick competitor scan 😬)
✅ Days 2–3 – Sketched out
Drew the app flow on paper to focus on UX, not UI fluff.
Made Figma wireframes → tested with two people → improved flow.
Built a clean-enough UI (lost some time polishing it 😅).
Tested again, got some helpful (slightly biased) feedback.
I’m working on a ai-app to release in 2 weeks
✅ already did quick business research, brainstorm, paper prototype
🔨 now working on wireframes for a few hours
I have created 50 apps:
10% have failed
46% have not been monetized (yet)
44% have generated revenue
And I've had 8 apps acquired
My journey started on January 13, 2020 to cope with my mental breakdown:
first AI/data extraction project
ran my eval script on 12 docs x 3 times (36 res in total) — 100% accuracy across all fields 😮💨
hyped but staying chill
