Gentle reminder that working for Indian founders should be a rarity & not the norm for you
only work for Indian founders if someone vouches for them or if you have had at least a decade of experience & are mature enough to deal with odd behavior
I know people will come at me with:
not all Indian founders
but this is the elephant in the room, the Indian workplaces have less dignity and work-life-balance than their US or EU counterparts, apart from lower pay (which is okay, because that really depends on affordability)
if you find an Indian founder who treats employees fairly at behaviour level similar to US or EU, don't forget to let them know that they are exceptional, that's the way we will reinforce this in our ecosystem which is full of cortisol-junkies and low-ethics precedence
there's much to improve in our ecosystem
I've seen so many cases of problem destroying their health due to cortisol-junkiness of their founders
some of whom continue to evangelize this
remember this people:
your mental health & physical health is everything, it cannot be recovered for years after being lost
health is everything

the key reason I can afford to say this is because I don't seek a leadership position in my next decade, I just want an SDE 2 job that'll cover my expenses, not everyone else can afford to say this

The database allegedly contains 100,000 rows of user data. The database is being offered for $1,000, while live shell access is priced at $1,300.

My number 1 suggestion to anyone starting their career in tech:
If possible, don't work for Indian founders, unless you have a close friend vouching for the company
don't do it, most of the Indian founders have yet to catch up with US & EU in terms of ethical standard operating procedures of business
the fortune 500 has 300+ non-Indian product companies with a dev center in India, whose annual revenue > total valuation of Cred, but you don't know the name of even 30 of them
go work for such EU US companies, don't work for companies who sponsor hackathons to get free unpaid work
Indian companies should be an exception on your CV, not a norm
get into them to get the credentials to move to US or EU companies
this is what I tell my brother, sisters, nephews & nieces
and this is what I repeat:
work for US / EU fortune 500 product companies over any Indian founders driven company
Indian founders like you & me will be having a scarcity x low-trust mindset - no amount of money or success seems to solve for it
very few Indian founders driven companies are worth working for
