SAPS SERIOUS VIOLENT CRIME DETECTIVES LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR GUNMEN BEHIND SHOOTING THAT LEAVES TWO KNYSNA MEN DEAD

Cape Town: Western Cape serious violent crime detectives have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators of a shooting incident that left two men dead in Knysna on Thursday evening.

Preliminary reports indicate that the two deceased persons aged 47 and 48 were in a vehicle in Bongani when they came under fire at approximately 21:00 from gunmen who are yet to be identified.

The provincial serious violent crimes detective team that had been investigating another shooting incident in the area that had occurred on Wednesday evening involving a councillor in the area, has since been reinforced. Additional SVC detectives are in the area to probe the shooting incidents. The motive for both shootings remains the subject of the police investigation. Police are also probing whether the two shooting are in any way related.

No arrests have been effected yet with SAPS investigators hard at work in search for leads.

Anyone with information that could assist the ongoing investigations is urged to contact the SAPS Sgt Nobuntu Thundezwa on 082 522 1251.

I chose "Collect at Store" - TotalSports, Tubatse Crossing Mall, Burgersfort.
On 29 July 2026 I went to collect. I opened the package at the counter WITH TotalSports staff as witnesses.
The box was tampered, damaged, and EMPTY.
There was no iPhone inside. please note that on the pictures the blue plastic was sealed.
I took photos as proof in store.
the staff contacted Bash immediately, they told the staff they will communicate with me through email. I attached what they were saying They refused a refund, replacement, or any help.
I am now R19,999 down with nothing to show for it.
I have reported Bash to the National Consumer Commission @NCC_SA and I am opening a SAPS case for fraud.
