“…kelainan upaya dengan memiliki kebijaksanaan masing-masing.”
‘Kebijaksanaan’ yang manakah boleh mengatasi masalah akses untuk maklumat/tempat/penyertaan sosial jika tiada langkah untuk memenuhi jurang tersebut?
‘Kurang’ itu istilah penting agar kita boleh ‘tambah’ akses.
Having said all this, I want to acknowledge that there are disabled people (and parents of disabled kids) who don't like the term, or prefer to be called something else.
That's perfectly valid. The issue is accessibility and discrimination.
However...

Hello.
Some of you know that I (among others) am behind @KamiSIUMAN. If you didn't, now you do.
I am asking my friends, peers & those interested in advancing disability rights to help us get to the 45th UPR Info Pre-sessions in Geneva, 28 Nov to 1 Dec 2023.

If you've got a book club, classroom, mutual aid group, friends/family, etc. who'd be interested in a beautiful, research-based zine about the Ontario Basic Income Pilot...hit me up. We're sending copies (for free) to anyone who wants them, and they're going fast!!! 📣

There is an important difference. The MRT doesn't segregate men and women. Women can choose to be in the general unisex coaches if they want to be.
There is just some coaches designated for women to use, if they feel unsafe.
"Segregation" and "safe spaces" are not the same.
wrote a piece on socialism and art, how capitalism narrows and censors cultural production whereas socialism seeks to liberate and expand it, and some related topics

Literally 40 years ago, in 1983 while we first floated the idea of public transport rail to serve KL, the government forecast LRT wait times of only six minutes. The Putrajaya MRT's offpeak 9 minutes might not seem like much, but nobody in 1983 would have been very impressed.
Spent an hour or so with counselling students at Monash earlier today, talking about disability & my lived experience.
I appreciate the fact that lot of the questions were about how they can make services accessible & inclusive for clients.
Thank you for the invite @Clipper27
