In India, wrong-side driving is rarely punished—either the police don't notice, or they take a bribe and let it go.

When crimes go unchecked for too long, they become habits or even entitlements. Applies to wrong-side driving as well—offenders feel so entitled that confronting them leads to arguments and abuse.

Kuldeep Thakur, the driver, had multiple challans for wrong-side driving. Had he been jailed for the first offense for a year or so, this tragedy might have been avoided. Even this time, he was released on bail the same day!

Shri @nitin_gadkari, there are various technologies available to curb wrong-side driving or to warn other drivers, such as radar, infrared, flashing lights, sign boards, radio warnings, etc. Can we think of this as priority?

*उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस सिपाही भर्ती परीक्षा के पेपर लीक मामले में बोर्ड ने जांच कमेटी गठ‍ित की है. सोशल मीडिया पर यूपी पुलिस भर्ती पेपर लीक की खबरों को लेकर युवाओं में आक्रोश है. हालांकि बोर्ड ने इससे पहले पेपर लीक की इन खबरों को फर्जी बताया था, लेकिन अब इसकी जांच करवाई जाएगी ताकि सच सामने आ सके. आइए जानते हैं, भर्ती बोर्ड का क्या कहना है.

*भर्ती बोर्ड की अध्यक्ष रेणुका मिश्रा ने फोन पर आज तक से बातचीत में कहा कि अभ्यर्थियों द्वारा सोशल मीडिया पर जो समस्याएं बताई जा रही हैं, उन समस्याओं को देखते हुए बोर्ड के द्वारा इंटरनल कमेटी गठित की गई है. उन्होंने आगे कहा कि अभ्यर्थियों के द्वारा सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल क्वेश्चन पेपर और आंसर शीट को लेकर जांच की जाएगी. हमारे पास भी सभी वायरल चीजे हैं, जो सवाल वायरल हुए हैं वह क्वेश्चन पेपर में कितने आए हैं और यह परीक्षा से पहले, बाद में या दौरान वायरल हुए हैं इनकी भी जांच की जा रही है. रेणुका ने कहा कि हम सभी तथ्यों की जांच कर रहे हैं. 48 लाख बच्चों के भविष्य का सवाल है, किसी के साथ अन्याय नहीं होने देंगे, लेकिन सोशल मीडिया पर जो तथ्य बताए जा रहे हैं उनकी जांच होना जरूरी है.
