What you said is false. The LDS Church does not say the similarities are just coincidence or that Freemasonry had "nothing whatsoever" to do with the endowment.

Its own official history says the endowment uses similar teaching devices and acknowledges similarities in format and symbols.

The LDS claim is that the endowment's content came by revelation, not that there was no relationship at all to Masonic ritual
