How to NOT ask referrals:

"I am xyz, I've done abc, could you please give me a referral."

Most people (freshers), have similar approaches, and it's problematic! Referral for what? Which opening? You expect the employee to visit his orgs opening page, go through 100s of opening and be able to select the best fit for you? Learn to respect others time elsee they wont even respond back, the times are hard, most people dont even open the DMs but if they do, please don't provoke them to never look at their DMs again, unless you actually know someone in person and are expecting him/her to get you a referral in their own team etc; always mention the job opportunity you are aiming for and why you feel you are a good fit for it! Don't make matters worse for yourself, play smart!
