For years, border communities, particularly in the North Eastern counties, have faced systemic challenges in acquiring national identification documents.

The vetting process, marred by excessive scrutiny and additional documentation demands, has delayed access and fostered discrimination, undermining the fundamental rights of these Kenyans.

In a historic and unifying decision, H.E. President @WilliamsRuto has today officially abolished the vetting process for individuals seeking identification documents in these regions.

This long-overdue reform is a victory for inclusivity and national cohesion, ensuring that every Kenyan, regardless of their place of birth, enjoys equal access to citizenship rights without unnecessary barriers.

This landmark move is widely celebrated, particularly among marginalized border communities, where generations have struggled with documentation challenges that have limited their opportunities in education, employment and economic participation.

By removing this systemic hurdle, the President has restored the dignity of the disenfranchised and reaffirmed his commitment to a just and equitable society where every Kenyan can fully partake in the nation's development.

Early this morning, our forces decisively thwarted a cowardly ambush by ISIS cowards in the mountains, sending a clear message to those who seek to undermine our peace and security. This victory is a testament to the strength and resolve of our military, whose sacrifices ensure that the prosperity, security, and progress we enjoy today are possible.

Without the unwavering guardianship of the Puntland Armed Forces, none of this our security, our education system, or our continued advancement would be achievable. We are proud to see our people and security personnel standing united, step by step, to eliminate any threats to this magnificent land.
