[Special Presidential Envoy (SPE) 🇸🇴 @MariamYassinHY]

A total of 174 Somali nationals were safely repatriated from Libya today after enduring significant hardships. Their return was facilitated through the Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR) programme, funded by @EU_in_somalia and coordinated in close collaboration with @IOM_Somalia, @mofaSomalia, and the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Migration, Returns, and Children’s Rights @mariamyassinHY.

Upon arrival, 159 returnees were received at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu by H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali, Deputy Minister at @mofaSomalia, alongside the Senior Returns and #NCM Coordination Team @mr_msaid and representatives from #EUSomalia and #IOMSomalia. The remaining 15 returnees safely disembarked in Hargeisa.

The Government of Somalia, with partners, remains committed to safe, dignified, and voluntary return and reintegration of Somali nationals abroad.
