George responds to the public's recent criticism and the "double standard" towards him in his interview with Tencent Sports Journalist via WendyW on xhs 🩵
: I've noticed that people can be pretty harsh to you sometimes, like there are double standards. Like when you speak up for drivers and want better facilities at the track, you get called a "complainer"; but when you're professional and composed with the media, some people say you're "too PR." A lot of fans think these misunderstandings are just unfair and frustrating.
–– When people misunderstand what you're really trying to do, does that hurt a bit?
George: Well, that's just how the world works, I guess. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
Most of the people saying these things don't really know me, and they're not my fans. They don't get my story or what I stand for. So it's really important not to let those comments get to you.
Because I'm getting so much love from others, and I'm really thankful for that. All that negativity doesn't affect me. Like I said, it's sad but that's just how things are these days. People have a lot of negativity to let out.
But I'm sticking to my values, and I've got my team and my fans right there with me, and that's what really matters to me.
