One thing I would not do is to hide myself during pregnancy.
My eyes have seen 99 so far in this race but we still rolling....

Multiple trials to get into nursing from 2015-2021,
Losing my dad in 100 level,
Now graduating in 2026 as a triple certified nurse, my life is a TESTIMONY.

Meet the NMCN BOARD CHAIRMAN
Dr. (Mrs.) Alice Igbekele Ogundele is a distinguished nurse, educator, researcher, and administrator with over 32 years of experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and health services leadership in Ondo State, Nigeria.
Educational Qualifications
Dr. Alice obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Science from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in 1989.
She successfully passed the Nursing and Midwifery Council Examination for Nursing, Midwifery, and Public Health Nursing, earning registration with the Council as a Nurse, Midwife, and Public Health Nurse.
Driven by her passion for higher education, she earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the same university in 2010. She later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Open University of Nigeria, qualifying her as a Midwife Educator.
She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Professional Experience and Leadership
Dr. (Mrs.) Alice Igbekele Ogundele has held various leadership positions as a clinician and educator. She served as the Head of Nursing Services at a Primary Health Care Centre in Idanre Local Government, Ondo State, and as the Principal of the School of Midwifery, Akure. In 2016, she was appointed Ondo State Director of Nursing Services, a position she held until her retirement.
She is currently the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Elizade University.
As Director of Nursing Services, she proactively identified the needs of nurses in the state and implemented appropriate interventions. She ensured the continued training of post-basic nurses even after the School of Midwifery was absorbed into the University system. She also strongly advocated for the training of community nurses and midwives to address the near-extinction of professional nurses at the Primary Health Care level.
Research and Publications
She has conducted research in Nursing Management, Human Resource Management and Development. Her works have been published in reputable journals.
