AFCON2023: No better time to have made my debut coverage 🇨🇮

In what has now been termed the most successful and interesting AFCON in recent times, also backed up by data as the most watched ever, was me living my dreams of covering my first AFCON.

I woke up this morning to my little cousins of 12 and below (male and female) analyzing the Nigeria Super Eagles 🇳🇬 at the AFCON to me, telling me of our heroics heading into the final and how it was tough losing to the hosts, how @victorosimhen9 didn’t get enough passes 😂, and how hard he worked for the team, there and then it dawned on me the significance of what I had just achieved. Because like I wrote during the tournament, many years ago, That was me.

I can’t describe how fulfilling it felt to now be a catalyst for the next set of dreamers, because they saw the possibility and have now developed interest. The @NGSuperEagles 🇳🇬 might not have clinched the Trophy but we won, I won. Hopefully the success of this tournament (success because we all honestly didn’t see a final coming) is built on by the National Team , and of course, ME, because this is only just the start.

I received massive support for this tournament and I take none of it for granted, This was genuinely one of the best moments of my life and I’m grateful to everyone that made it happen. From the financial support, to moral support and even those that made it their duty to push every content I put out.

Big Thank you to the Brands I worked with (@HeroLager , @TrophyLager , @54footballx ) and everyone that worked on the various Digital campaigns, plus the media channels that had me speak on their programs, I experienced new heights in my Sports Content creation journey across ALL PLATFORMS.

Thank you to Senior Colleagues that made navigating my first Afcon close to an easy one, To my friends as well for making it a worthwhile stay ❤️
