Happy BiN Week 2023! 🙌🏾✨️
I'm a 3rd year PhD student using in vivo electrophysiology to better understand how neurons encode social cues for instinctive behaviour. Really looking forward to connecting with old friends and making new friends this year 😊

Thrilled to share my PhD work, out in @nature today. @fisekmehmet & I developed an all-optical approach to study long-range connectivity across brain areas. Upshot: visual feedback is spatially organized & nonlinearly integrated in V1 apical dendrites. https://t.co/VuMwuB8tes
social programming lies to us that rich people 'deserve' to be in their position, through skill, talent, or wisdom.
rich people get rich because they took a small fortune and turned it into a huge fortune
trump and musk are man children whose only talent is throwing money away
Always said the Conservatives would produce the first Prime Minister of colour, and it’s precisely because Labour have been spooked into treating their own Black and Asian MPs like shit because otherwise Murdoch’s papers will accuse them of betraying the white working class.

Please note you must be a UCL student to attend in person. All non-UCL students can attend via our zoom link which will be put on socials before the event!
Where do decisions get made? Decisions about sensory information are thought to arise high in the cortical processing hierarchy. Our @NatureNeuro study challenges this, showing that decision signals consequential for behaviour are found at the earliest cortical processing stages.
Watch our promo video (voiced by myself ☺️) and get involved with the Centre for Education and Criminal Justice!
lots of exciting stuff to come✨
it's been a wonderful experience learning so much through working on the Blue Sky Thinking series📚
Here's to a future of reform!
“From the stories of over 70 women interviewed thus far, it is obvious that there is no singular archetype of a woman neuroscientist, nor is there one path to ‘success’.” - great commentary by @storiesofwin in @SfNJournals

Hello and Happy #BlackInNeuroWeek 2022! 🙌🏾✨
I am a 2nd year PhD student @SWC_Neuro researching the neural basis of transitions in pup-directed behaviours. Really excited about the events planned for this week and getting to know some of you better!
