I really just hate that word lately because a medical system using "ai" for early detection of cancers, prevention, and genetics is put in the same bucket as a targeting system. It's justifiable sometimes but I think we should be using our words a bit more accurately
Been saying this for 2-3 years already. AI is a marketing term people who actually know what it is and how it's used would never call it artificial intelligence in any sense. Where it's used, where it's applied, and the ethics/intention of the person using it is the issue.
This is a nuanced position and I've stated this multiple times. Hearing people who don't even know what it is on a technical level speak on it as if they know what's actually going on genuinely annoys me bc it's misinformation
