On Sunday this guy somehow adopted the prime skill set and aura of Slater, Hayne and Bowen… maybe a touch of Brett Stewart there too. Watching it back again it was genuinely a 10/10 performance
Great send off for a player who played like he genuinely loved trying to take peoples heads off throughout his career… they don’t make players like him anymore. Dying breed at the elite level
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves' career is over. He will miss the Super League Grand Final after receiving a three-match ban. Hull KR have until 12pm on Tuesday to appeal. They almost certainly will.

It wasn’t so much of an issue a few years ago, but he’s managed to force a bigger seat at the table recently.
He’s now heavily influencing the direction of the sport and that worries me. He’s erratic, unprofessional and childish. The sport deserves better.
If the integrity of the sport couldn’t get anymore damaged. I’d imagine a 12 year old could articulate a statement better than this. When more eyes are on this situation the sport needs to do better as a whole
I genuinely hope he sees this and changes his attitude for the better, what you call a character building loss that. It’s how you deal with it that separates the greats from the what could have beens
Not sure how you can give an opinion on this when you wasn’t there! Also you haven’t been all year so are you relying on other peoples opinions? Bit lazy for a journalist! 11 pyro stations is double any other club operate. Who is re-evaluating for you in play offs I will check they have booked in as all press allocated and reserved 👍
#OTD in 2016:
A truly incredible game at the HJ. 28-14 up against Wigan with 25 minutes left, somehow Wire conspire to lose 35-28 despite being a man up after Ben Flower’s red card
Great to watch when he was in space, but as soon as he handed FC the game on a plate I knew he wouldn’t play 1st grade rugby league again… reminds me of when Cas signed Dwain Chambers (the track sprinter)
Wigan Warriors can confirm that Christian Wade will leave the Club at the end of the 2025 @SuperLeague season to take up an opportunity in rugby union at Newcastle Red Bulls.
