Part of the reason populists hate experts, is bc it robs them of their Zoroastrian style of politics of good (the people) vs evil (elites). Once someone shows up and says that something is objectively true, it robs them of the prime motivation for their involvement in politics.
I don't think any scene of a movie ever captured the feeling of modernity colliding with the romanticism of the youthful human soul like this one. "Can't be done, nothing ever happens, nothing you can do" has been the mantra most of us were raised on.
I love this trick from baby boomers. Make things insanely unaffordable and do not raise workers’ wages. Then, complain that young people spend too much money on frivolous activities like eating lunch.
@sw_holocron Before people post, people need to think! Yoda (and those other characters listed) did not die. Tom Kane died. Drawing tribute images depicting Yoda as having died disrespect the character. It pisses me off when people do that!
