As a Youth Advisor to António Guterres on climate change, I had the honor of meeting with him alongside fellow youth advisors.
We spoke about climate resilience and why youth must be at the centre of early warning systems. Caribbean voices matter. @YAGClimate
Barbados end Carifta 2026 with 17 medals. It is the first time in 11 years that the team has gained at least six golds. This has been a tremendous performance, we must stick with these athletes, the junior national squad is working. Kudos to the AAB and coaches. Congrats Team 🇧🇧

One exciting example is Debt-for-Climate Swaps.
The interaction with environmental students from Guadeloupe visiting Barbados was truly special.
It left me feeling inspired and hopeful different islands, one climate justice conversation… and yes, I even learned how to pronounce it in French 😂🇫🇷
I got a call saying environmental students from Guadeloupe were in Barbadosfor a field trip and wanted to connect and I was beyond amazed.
What made it even more special was our conversation on climate justice… and yes, I learned how to pronounce “climate justice” in French 💕

I am happy to witness the wonderful progression of the Hope Farm Project. Having both Chinese and Barbadian nationals working hand in hand to make this project a reality is a true and pure reflection of the ever growing relationship between China and Barbados 🇨🇳🇧🇧
